Kitchen equipment and technology selection
Select equipment and technology around your menu, production needs, space and budget.

Who this is for
Owners and operators planning a new kitchen, refurbishing a site or deciding whether to replace or upgrade equipment and operating tools.
What we work on
Define what the operation needs
We start with the menu, production volumes and busiest service periods. The review covers preparation, cooking, holding, storage and washing, along with the people using the equipment. Available space and site constraints help define what is practical.
Compare the options
We help prepare an equipment brief and compare options against it. Capacity, workflow, ease of cleaning and staff skills matter alongside purchase price. We also consider energy and water use, maintenance, warranties, spare parts and local supplier support.
Choose suitable technology
The work can include cooking and holding technologies, monitoring equipment and digital tools for recipes, stock or reporting. We review how each option fits the work, the existing systems and the team that will use it. Any required integration or specialist assessment is identified before a purchase decision.
Prepare for use
We can help clarify supplier proposals and plan demonstrations, trials, training and handover checks. The proposal defines our role in selection, supplier coordination and preparation for opening or installation.
What you receive
| What you receive | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Equipment and technology brief | Operating requirements, capacity needs, site constraints and selection criteria. |
| Options comparison | How suitable options compare on use, cost, maintenance and support. |
| Supplier questions and shortlist | Points to confirm before the owner makes a purchase decision. |
| Training and handover plan | The demonstrations, checks, instructions and responsibilities needed before use. |
What we need from you
Share the menu, expected production volumes, layout and available site information. For an existing operation, include the equipment list, recurring problems, maintenance records and any supplier proposals. We also need the budget and project timetable.
Before we start
Can you review equipment we already own?
Yes. We can review how it serves the menu and production demands, then identify where different working practices, maintenance or replacement should be considered.
Do we have to change suppliers?
No. We can compare proposals from your existing suppliers against the agreed requirements. You decide which suppliers to appoint.
Does this include software selection?
Yes, where it supports the operation. Our systems and databases service can then define the records, implementation, training and integration work required.
Can this be part of an opening project?
Yes. Equipment decisions can be included in the project development and opening plan, alongside the menu, kitchen workflow, food safety preparation and training.
